Security agencies and electoral officials on Saturday embarked on a joint monitoring exercise across Polling Units in Dawakin Kudu and Warawa Local Government Areas as the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency bye-election progressed under peaceful conditions.

Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, Commissioner of Police in Kano State, joined the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kano and members of the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) to inspect the conduct of the poll and assess compliance with electoral procedures.
Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, Commissioner of Police in Kano State, joined the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kano and members of the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) to inspect the conduct of the poll and assess compliance with electoral procedures.
The monitoring team visited several polling units across the two Local Government Areas to evaluate the deployment of security personnel, the performance of INEC officials and the level of adherence by voters to electoral guidelines.
The exercise formed part of efforts by security agencies and election managers to ensure a credible, transparent and violence-free electoral process.
Reports from the monitored locations indicated that voting was progressing smoothly with voters conducting themselves in an orderly manner while security personnel maintained professionalism and neutrality throughout the exercise.
The joint inspection also underscored the commitment of election stakeholders to safeguarding the integrity of the bye-election and sustaining public confidence in the electoral process.
