Despite a lack of clear-cut chances early on, Inter controlled proceedings from the outset, pinning Parma deep in their half. They nearly took the lead midway through the first half when Nicolo Barella struck the underside of the crossbar, with goalkeeper Zion Suzuki reacting sharply to keep the ball out.
Thuram eventually converted Inter’s pressure into a breakthrough just before the interval, finishing calmly after a precise through ball from Piotr Zielinski.
The second half followed a similar pattern, with Inter dictating play but initially unable to extend their lead. Federico Dimarco later delivered a dangerous cross for Denzel Dumfries, who failed to convert from close range.
Mkhitaryan eventually put the result beyond doubt, tapping in from close range after a low delivery from Lautaro Martinez, sparking celebrations among the home supporters as Inter confirmed their status as champions once again.
