Speaking at the presentation, Villannah said the decision to purchase the form was driven by the need to encourage broader participation within the party.
“This gesture reflects our commitment to internal democracy and our belief that Chief David Sabo Kente possesses the leadership capacity to move Taraba State forward.
“We consulted widely, and there was a strong consensus among stakeholders that he should step into the race,” he said.
In his acceptance remarks, Kente thanked the group for what he described as a demonstration of confidence in his leadership and pledged to run an inclusive campaign.
“I am deeply humbled by this show of support and trust. After wide consultations and reflection, I have decided to accept the nomination form.
“I call on all members of our great party and the good people of Taraba State to join hands with me as we work towards building a more inclusive and prosperous state,” Kente said.
He added that his ambition would focus on people-oriented policies and broad-based development.
“Our focus will be on policies that uplift our people, strengthen our communities and ensure that governance delivers real impact,” he said.
