Six squads of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) have lost their lives in a fatal road accident along the Dikwa–Ngala Road in the Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno State, according to security sources.

Ten passengers perish in separate Gombe-Kano highway accident
In a separate transport disaster, a head-on collision along the Gombe–Kano Road has claimed the lives of 10 passengers and left seven others with severe injuries. The casualties, comprising both male and female travellers, died instantly in the Monday crash.
Community members and Islamic worshippers subsequently gathered at the Bolari Mosque in Gombe to observe the Salatul Janazah funeral prayers. Following the orthodox rites, the deceased were laid to rest, with mourners offering prayers for the families of the victims.
