Speaking at the event, Nentawe Yilwatda, National Chairman of the APC, represented by Professor Atah Pine, said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserved a second term, declaring that there would be “no vacancy” for the opposition in Aso Rock in 2027.
He highlighted key reforms introduced by the administration, including the removal of fuel subsidy, foreign exchange market unification, tax and customs reforms, and what he described as renewed fiscal discipline, particularly in infrastructure development.
He cited major projects such as the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway and the Badagry-Sokoto road, alongside initiatives like the energy transition and CNG programme as some of the milestones recorded by the present administration.
Yilwatda said the government has also recorded progress in the power sector through the Electricity Act, as well as in social investment programmes like NELFund, which provides student loans, and the approval of a N70,000 minimum wage.
Yilwatda, however, urged support groups, especially the Integrity Group, to do more in communicating these achievements to Nigerians.
Addressing the gathering, the Director-General of the Integrity Group, also known as the Renewed Hope Agenda Ambassadors, Oke Idawane, expressed confidence that President Tinubu would secure re-election in 2027.
“President Tinubu is the man to beat in 2027; there is no vacancy in Aso Rock. The economy is improving, and people are becoming safer,” he said.
On security, Idawane urged Nigerians to support security agencies by providing timely and credible information to help curb insecurity across the country.
