In her ruling, Justice Joyce Abdulmalik restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognising or participating in any congress convened by the disputed caretaker leadership.
The court also barred Mark and his associates from interfering in the affairs of duly elected state executives, affirming that only constitutionally recognised organs of the party are empowered to conduct congresses.
Reacting, Kachikwu described the ruling as long overdue, saying attempts to hijack the party have failed.
“The ADC is not for sale. Those who sought to undermine the party have now been shown the exit,” he said.
Also speaking, Chairman of the ADC State Chairmen, Kingsley Oggah, described the judgement as a welcome development and a validation of their position.
