Speaking during the visit, Ufuoma Umukoro, director of sales and aftersales, Coscharis Motors, said the engagement was aimed at aligning both companies’ strategies to support the delivery of electric vehicles in the Nigerian market.
“The visit allowed us to align more closely on our shared goals and values, while reinforcing our commitment to delivering quality electric mobility solutions,” Umukoro said, noting that the discussions also focused on improving aftersales support and operational efficiency.
The Asia Star delegation, led by Will Shi, business manager for Africa and the Pacific Region, toured Coscharis’ showrooms, aftersales facilities, and assembly plant in Lagos.
Shi said the visit provided an opportunity to evaluate Coscharis’ operational capacity, expressing confidence in the Nigerian firm’s ability to support the deployment of electric vehicles.
“We are satisfied with what we have seen in terms of infrastructure and investment, and we believe Coscharis is well-positioned to support our entry and growth in the Nigerian market,” he said.
Also speaking, Chukwu Opara, Coscharis’ technical lead for EV operations, provided updates on the performance of the electric buses already delivered to Abia State, highlighting efforts to improve customer satisfaction and expand future deployment.
