The rating, regarded globally as one of the highest benchmarks for vehicle crash protection and safety technology, comes as demand for multi-purpose SUVs continues to rise in Nigeria, driven by deteriorating road conditions, increased intercity travel, and consumer preference for larger vehicles.
The T2 enters the Nigerian market as competition among auto brands intensifies across the mid- and premium-SUV segments. The vehicle is distributed through dealerships including Elizade Nigeria Limited, New Era AutoVehicle Services Limited, Kojo Motors, Germaine Auto Centre, Tab Autos Limited, R. T. Briscoe Motors, and Mandilas Autos.
According to the company, the SUV was designed to handle a wide mix of driving conditions common across Nigeria, ranging from congested city roads to highways and rough rural terrain.

The T2 comes equipped with multiple safety systems, including SRS airbags, parking sensors, rear camera, and surround-view monitor, as well as driver-assistance technologies such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Emergency Braking Assist, and Auto-Brake Assist.
The vehicle also features lane departure warning and blind-spot detection technologies, which are increasingly becoming standard offerings in newer SUV models competing for market share in Nigeria.
Beyond safety, Jetour is positioning the T2 as a performance-oriented SUV capable of handling difficult terrain. It is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing 254 horsepower and 390Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The T2 also features a BorgWarner sixth-generation four-wheel-drive system and multiple terrain modes designed for varying road conditions, including mud, rock, and sand.
Inside, the SUV features a large infotainment touchscreen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside voice command functionality, Bluetooth connectivity, and cruise and crawl control aimed at improving convenience and connectivity.
To support long-term ownership, Jetour said it is expanding after-sales services across Nigeria through spare parts supply, maintenance support, and warranty coverage.
