Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has emerged as the winner of the African Democratic Congress presidential primary in Osun State.

Abubakar won the contest with 12,321 votes, defeating Hayatu Deen Muhammed, who polled 4,000 votes.

Ex Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, came third with a total of 679 votes.
The results declared by the committee in charge of the exercise indicate that Atiku won in all the 30 local government areas in the state.
According to a statement signed by the spokesperson for Osun ADC, Oluwaseun Abosede, obtained in Osogbo on Tuesday, the chairman of the electoral committee that conducted the primary, Olusola Adepoju, declared the results of the exercise.
Abosede’s statement further read, “Atiku Abubakar won the entire 30 LGAs in the state.
“He polled 12,321 out of 17,000 total votes cast in the primary. He was followed by Hayatu deen MUHAMMED with over 4,000 votes, while Rotimi Amaechi polled 679 votes.”
