Olalere Oyewumi, Director-General of the Imole Campaign Council (TICC), discloses that the Administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke has cleared 18 months out of the 30 months of half-salary arrears inherited from the immediate past administration in Osun State under the All Progressives Congress (APC) Oyewumi also disclosed that the government had fully paid the 28-month contributory pension arrears owed to pensions by previous administrations in the State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He made this known on Sunday during a press conference held at the formal opening of the Imole Media Center in Osogbo, adding that the Administration successfully implemented the new national minimum wage without triggering industrial action. According to him, the improvement in the financial health of the State had translated into what he described as unprecedented infrastructure development, human capital development and significant improvement in every index of good governance in the last 3 ½ years. Oyewumi said the Adeleke Administration recorded several landmark achievements, including the construction of flyovers in Osogbo and Ile-Ife, as well as dual carriageways in Ilesa, Ila-Orangun, Ede and Iwo. He stated that over 300 kilometres of urban and rural roads had also been constructed across local government areas in the state. The Senator representing Osun West further said projects such as the dual carriageway from Old Garage to Lameco and the flyovers at Okefia and Lameco had improved transportation and urban development within Osogbo. Speaking on education, Oyewumi said the government prioritised teachers’ welfare and improvement of learning facilities, noting that Osun moved from the 33rd position in the National Examinations Council ranking in 2022 to seventh position in 2024 and 2025. He added that the Administration had also invested in agriculture through tractorisation and distribution of cocoa, palm oil and cashew seedlings to farmers across the state, among other sectors.
