He noted that the current administration has recorded achievements in key sectors such as security, infrastructure, education, healthcare and agriculture, promising to build on these gains with a renewed focus on efficiency and results-driven governance.
“Significant progress has been made in these sectors, and I will build on these gains with a renewed focus on efficiency and impactful governance,” he stated.
Goje also paid tribute to his predecessor, Baba Malam Wali, commending his contributions and assuring continuity.
“I commend his remarkable contributions and assure continuity in consolidating the progress made under his stewardship,” he said.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Administration and General Services, Alhaji Madu, who formally handed over the office, pledged the support and cooperation of staff to the new SSG.
PUNCH Online gathered that Goje’s appointment follows his previous role as Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency.
It also comes after the resignation of the former SSG, Baba Malam Wali, who has emerged as the consensus candidate of the Yobe APC for the 2027 governorship election.
