Court Remands TikToker Over Alleged Cyberbullying Of Mohbad’s Widow

A Lagos court remands a TikToker accused of cyberbullying Mohbad’s widow through allegedly harmful online posts.

A Lagos Magistrate’s Court in Ikeja has remanded a 27-year-old TikToker, Oladimeji Hammed, popularly known as Immunizer, over allegations of cyberbullying and online harassment directed at Omowunmi Aloba, widow of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.

Hammed was arraigned on Tuesday on a six-count charge bordering on cyberstalking, cyberbullying and the publication of harmful online content.

The charges, filed by the police, allege that the defendant used his social media platforms to publish insulting, provocative and harmful content targeting the 26-year-old widow.

The TikToker pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The court granted him bail with two sureties, each required to provide evidence of a bank account balance of at least N700,000. One surety must be a state civil servant, while the other must be a blood relative of the defendant. Both are also required to provide evidence of tax compliance.

The case was adjourned for further hearing.

According to the charge sheet, one of the alleged offences occurred on February 8, 2026, when Hammed allegedly published a social media post suggesting that Omowunmi was planning to leave Nigeria before justice was served in connection with her husband’s death.

The charge stated: “That you, Oladimeji Hammed, a.k.a. Immunizer, on February 8, 2026, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, knowingly caused to be sent through a computer system and network a message stating that Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba wanted to leave Nigeria before justice was served for Mohbad, and thereby committed an offence punishable under the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015, as amended.”

Prosecutors further alleged that on February 11, Hammed published another post insinuating that the widow had failed to respond to allegations of infidelity during court proceedings.

He was also accused of publishing content on February 19 claiming that private materials belonging to Omowunmi had been leaked online.

In another count, the prosecution alleged that the defendant posted a video on March 14 containing derogatory remarks and accusations against the widow. The publication allegedly suggested that she was involved in a hidden agenda relating to the affairs of her late husband.

Police prosecutors told the court that between February 8 and March 14, Hammed allegedly engaged in a sustained pattern of online harassment targeting Omowunmi.

According to the prosecution, he “knowingly and intentionally sent insulting, abusive and provocative communications” through social media platforms with the intention of causing emotional distress and exposing her to public ridicule.

The prosecution further alleged that the publications subjected the widow to “hatred, ridicule, trolling, intimidation and threats from members of the public.”

Prosecutors also claimed that the online attacks contributed to an incident on March 15 during which Omowunmi was publicly confronted and nearly assaulted by some individuals.

The final count accused Hammed of publishing nude images and other harmful content allegedly intended to humiliate, harass and bully the widow.

“That you did knowingly publish and circulate nude images and harmful content relating to Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba with the intention of humiliating, bullying, harassing and causing emotional and psychological distress to her,” the charge stated.

Mohbad died on September 12, 2023, triggering nationwide outrage and widespread calls for justice, with public attention remaining focused on investigations surrounding the circumstances of his death.
