GetBundi, an educational technology platform, has announced the launch of applications for TechSis 2026, its flagship digital skills initiative for African women, backed by a $250,000 scholarship fund.
The program aims to provide free digital skills training to 3,000 women of African descent between the ages of 18 and 40 across Africa and the diaspora.
Participants will receive training in high-demand fields including Content Creation, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, and Video Editing.
According to the company, the scholarship will cover the full cost of the four-month online training programme.
Participants who want to obtain a certificate at the end of the program will be required to pay an optional $10 certification fee.
TechSis was launched in 2023 as part of efforts to bridge Africa’s digital gender gap and improve women’s participation in the technology ecosystem.
The inaugural edition trained 500 women in Coding, while the 2024 cohort expanded to 1,000 participants in Web Development and Data Analytics. In 2025, the program trained 1,500 women in Data Analytics and Cybersecurity.
Speaking on the launch of TechSis 2026, Osita Oparaugo, founder of GetBundi, said the initiative is focused on empowering African women with skills that can unlock employment and economic opportunities.
“Our mission is to equip African women with the digital skills they need to drive innovation, secure meaningful employment, and achieve economic independence,” he said.
Oparaugo added that TechSis goes beyond technical training by creating opportunities for women to participate actively in the global digital economy.
“We are creating pathways for African women to enter and lead in the digital economy,” he said.
GetBundi also disclosed that through its partnership with Doballi, a Dubai-based remote talent platform, some TechSis graduates have already secured employment opportunities with international companies.
Applications for the 2026 cohort open on May 15, 2026, and will remain open for 30 days. Founded as an African EdTech platform, GetBundi provides STEM education and digital skills training aimed at preparing learners for the future of work.
