Atiku made the assertion in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, describing the ADC as a party grounded in strong ideals, structure and determination.
Atiku’s comments came amid ongoing political realignments ahead of the 2027 elections, with opposition figures seeking to consolidate forces against the ruling APC.
“I remain convinced that the ADC has risen as Nigeria’s true opposition force—one that is strong in ideals, structure and resolve, and ready to challenge and defeat the failing APC in the elections ahead,” he said.
The former presidential candidate also revealed that he recently hosted stakeholders of the ADC from Adamawa State at his residence in Abuja, describing the meeting as “deeply touching.”
According to him, the visit provided an opportunity to charge the party’s new state leadership on the need for unity and inclusiveness.
“I thanked them for the gesture and reminded the new leadership that unity is now their sacred duty—to heal divisions, carry everyone along and lead with fairness,” he added.
He maintained that with cohesion and disciplined leadership, the ADC is well-positioned to offer Nigerians a viable alternative.
