New Zimbabwe coach Kaitano Tembo has released a 23-man squad ahead of this year’s Unity Cup invitational tournament, which will be held in London from May 26 to 30, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The Zimbabwe Football Association published the list on Monday, as Tembo appears to have opted for a balance of established internationals and emerging talents, drawing players from leagues across England, Scotland, France, South Africa and beyond.

The four-team tournament will feature Nigeria, India, Jamaica and Zimbabwe.
Notable in the squad is the return of France-based midfielder Marshall Munetsi. The 29-year-old returns to the national team after missing the 2025 AFCON.
Munetsi, who is currently enjoying a rich vein of form at Paris FC in France, was overlooked for the 2025 AFCON on the grounds that he was injured, according to then-national team coach Mario Marinica.
Also making notable returns to the Warriors squad are Italy-based defender Jordan Zemura, who rejoins the national team for the first time since November last year, and striker Tino Kadewere.
Other players in the squad include goalkeepers Marley Tavaziva of Brentford F.C., Future Sibanda from ZPC Kariba and Elvis Chipezeze of Magesi FC.
The defenders invited include Munashe Garananga of Hibernian F.C., Corbin Mthunzi from Ipswich Town F.C., Shane Maroodza of FK Sarajevo, Gerald Takwara from Al-Ittihad Misurata, Divine Lunga from Mamelodi Sundowns F.C., Emmanuel Jalai of Durban City FC and Sean Fusire from Sheffield Wednesday F.C.
The midfield contingent is made up of Mongameli Tshuma of Highlanders, Marvelous Nakamba from Sheffield Wednesday F.C., Aboubacar Moffat, Jonah Fabisch of Erzgebirge Aue and Tawanda Chirewa of Barnsley FC, while the attackers are Tawanda Maswanhise from Motherwell FC, Prince Dube of Young Africans, Junior Zindoga from TS Galaxy, Bill Antonio of KV Mechelen and Daniel Msendami from Orlando Pirates.
Zimbabwe will face defending champions Nigeria in a semi-final clash on May 26 at The Valley in South London, while the second semi-final between Jamaica and India will be played a day later.
The winners will progress to the final on May 30.
