TranESS, the renewable energy and energy storage business unit of the Transsion Group, has unveiled a range of commercial and industrial battery storage solutions for the Nigerian market as it seeks to tap growing demand for reliable electricity alternatives amid persistent grid challenges.

TranESS said the initiative forms part of its broader strategy to expand renewable energy and battery storage deployment across emerging markets while supporting Nigeria’s transition to cleaner and more dependable power sources.
Speaking at the event, Abiodun Wasiu, TranESS Commercial and Industrial Business Development Manager, said the company was focused on creating opportunities for partners while delivering reliable energy solutions to customers across Nigeria.

Operating in nearly 20 countries across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, the company provides renewable energy and energy storage solutions for residential, commercial, industrial and utility-scale applications. Its markets include Nigeria, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iraq, Syria, Mali, Zimbabwe, Zambia, the Philippines and Uzbekistan.
At the event, TranESS introduced the DYQUE 125kW/241kWh Commercial and Industrial Energy Storage System, an all-in-one solar-plus-storage solution designed to help businesses reduce energy costs, improve reliability and optimise power consumption.
According to the company, the system integrates a power conversion system, battery management system, thermal management and fire protection components into a single platform, reducing installation complexity and deployment time.
The modular architecture allows customers to expand storage capacity based on project requirements, while the solution can operate alongside solar photovoltaic systems, battery storage and diesel generators. The system also supports both on-grid and off-grid applications, providing flexibility for businesses facing unstable power supply.
TranESS said the DYQUE solution is suitable for peak shaving, backup power, load shifting and renewable energy optimisation, adding that it is backed by a five-year warranty.
The company also reintroduced its ITEL Energy 50kW Commercial and Industrial Energy Storage System and a 16kWh modular battery platform designed for scalable energy storage applications.
The modular battery system allows up to 12 battery units to be stacked together, enabling customers to expand storage capacity as their energy requirements grow. TranESS said the ITEL Energy storage system carries a five-year repair warranty, while its associated solar panels come with a 15-year product warranty.
Beyond product deployment, the company outlined plans to build a stronger partner ecosystem in Nigeria by working with distributors, installers and EPC contractors seeking opportunities in the growing energy storage market.
TranESS said it has access to more than 467 service centres across Nigeria, a network it believes will strengthen after-sales support, technical assistance and maintenance services for customers nationwide.
A major highlight of the launch was the announcement of a financing partnership with FundCo aimed at making renewable energy solutions more accessible to businesses.
Under the arrangement, corporate organisations will be able to acquire solar and energy storage systems through instalment payment plans ranging from three to 10 years, reducing the burden of large upfront capital expenditure.
The company said the financing model is designed to accelerate clean energy adoption, improve energy independence and allow businesses to preserve cash flow for core operations.
