Liverpool started brightly and took the lead in the 11th minute through Denise O’Sullivan before Beata Olsson doubled the advantage 11 minutes later to put the hosts 2-0 ahead.
Brighton responded almost immediately when Manuela Vanegas pulled one back in the 23rd minute to reduce the deficit before half-time.
After the restart, Brighton continued to press forward and found the equaliser in the 54th minute through Madison Haley, whose strike levelled the game at 2-2 and shifted momentum firmly in Brighton’s favour.
Nnadozie remained influential between the posts as Brighton completed the comeback to seal a famous victory and book a place at Wembley. Following the win, the Nigerian goalkeeper celebrated the achievement on her official X account.
“We are going to Wembley. Straight into the FA Cup finals. Super proud of this team. I give God the glory,” she wrote.
The result marks a historic milestone for Brighton Women, who will now face Manchester City in the Women’s FA Cup final on May 31 after City fought back from two goals down to defeat Chelsea Women 3-2 after extra time in the other semi-final.
