Despite Portable’s reputation and experience in the ring, Carter Efe dominated the much-hyped contest, securing the win comfortably and emerging as the night’s champion.
The bout, staged at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, delivered a mix of entertainment and drama, drawing significant attention from fans and on social media.
Portable, popularly known for his “Zazoo” hit, had entered the ring with confidence, having previously defeated Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington to claim two celebrity boxing belts.
However, the skit maker showed impressive composure, effectively using his reach and clean striking to control the fight from start to finish, ultimately dethroning Portable as the celebrity boxing king.
With this victory, Carter Efe now holds the unofficial title of Nigeria’s “Celebrity Boxing King.”
While Portable has called for a rematch, the organisers have yet to confirm if a follow-up bout is in the works for later in 2026.
