Beyoncé, alongside co-chairs Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour, led the star-studded evening.
She arrived on the red carpet with husband Jay-Z and daughter Blue Ivy Carter, who made her Met Gala debut.
Speaking during in a video interview shared via Instagram on Tuesday by Beysgroove, she expressed pride in experiencing the event through her daughter’s eyes and enthusiasm for the theme’s celebration of the body in all forms.
The singer wore a striking custom gown by Olivier Rousteing (Balmain), featuring a skin-tone mesh base with an embellished diamond skeleton design and matching gloves.
The event drew widespread attention as Beyoncé’s first appearance since 2016, signalling what many described as the dawn of a new era following her Cowboy Carter project.
