“The general public, particularly the candidates, are by this notice informed that the press release is fake and did not emanate from us. Kindly disregard it.”
JAMB emphasised that all activities on the 2026 UTME continue as scheduled. The main examination for the 2026 UTME holds from Saturday, April 25 to Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
Meanwhile, residents of Plateau State have expressed concerns over safety in parts of the region ahead of the April 25 to May 5, 2026, scheduled tertiary institutions entrance examinations.
Reports indicate that some examination centres are located in areas currently facing security challenges, putting students at risk.
No student should have to choose between education and personal safety. The right to education must include safe access to examination centres.”
The concerned citizens of Plateau State, therefore, call on relevant government authorities and security agencies to urgently intervene and secure all affected routes and communities before the examinations begin.
Besides, they are calling on both the federal and state governments to deploy adequate security personnel and make safe transportation arrangements for candidates.
They emphasised that the failure of the concerned authorities to act swiftly could expose students and families to unnecessary fear and risk during what should be a peaceful academic exercise.
