The Director of Media and Advocacy, NDLEA Headquarters, Abuja, Femi Babafemi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday.
During the visit on Monday, Marwa sympathised with the officers and assured them of the support of the NDLEA management.
He said the agency would take full responsibility for their welfare and ensure they receive proper medical attention until they fully recover.
“The Agency will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that those responsible for this cowardly attack are arrested and brought to justice.
“An attack on our officers is an attack on the state, and it will not go unpunished,” Marwa said.
The NDLEA boss commended the officers for what he described as their bravery, commitment to duty, and professionalism during the operation.
He noted that their sacrifices in the fight against substance abuse and illicit drug trafficking were invaluable to the country.
As part of efforts to encourage the injured officers, Marwa presented them with official Letters of Commendation personally signed by him, alongside other support packages aimed at aiding their recovery.
He also praised the agency’s medical personnel and officials of the National Hospital for their prompt response and care, which he said had helped stabilise the officers.
Marwa reaffirmed the commitment of the NDLEA to combating drug trafficking and dismantling drug networks across the country despite attacks from criminal elements.
