In separate Eid-el-Kabir messages issued on Wednesday in Abuja, both bodies urged Nigerians to embrace peace, tolerance, sacrifice and patriotism while praying for national unity and security.
The IPAC National Chairman, Yusuf Dantalle, said the council felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir and called on citizens to renew their faith in Allah and the country.
He urged governments at all levels to provide dividends of democracy that would ease the economic hardship facing Nigerians.
According to him, the essence of government remains the security and welfare of the people as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution.
“IPAC urges the Federal Government to intensify efforts in the war against terrorism, insurgency, banditry and kidnapping in the country. Every human life matters and should be adequately protected,” he stated.
The council also demanded the rescue and release of citizens currently held hostage by terrorists in different parts of the country.
IPAC commended security agencies for their efforts in safeguarding national security but urged them to do more to ensure lasting peace and stability.
The council further stressed the need for politicians to embrace issue-based campaigns and avoid bitterness capable of undermining democracy.
It also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission to remain neutral and ensure free, fair, credible and inclusive elections ahead of the Ekiti and Osun governorship polls as well as the 2027 general election.
Meanwhile, the APM, in its Eid-el-Kabir goodwill message, urged Muslims to imbibe the virtues of faith, obedience, sacrifice and compassion as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
The party called on Nigerians to pray for the country during the festive period and advised politicians to shun violence and electoral malpractice.
APM said citizens deserved good governance and urged governments at all levels to prioritise the welfare of the people above partisan interests.
The party also reaffirmed its commitment to what it described as a “Great Alliance” ahead of the 2027 elections, calling on Nigerians to support efforts aimed at fostering national unity, equity and prosperity.
