Nigerian striker Akor Adams could be on his way out of Sevilla this summer after Marseille emerged as the latest club to register serious interest in the Super Eagles striker, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

But the 2025/26 season was an entirely different story. Adams finished the campaign with ten goals and three assists in 32 appearances, playing a central role in keeping Sevilla in La Liga and establishing himself as one of the more consistent performers in a side that spent much of the season fighting for survival.
That turnaround has caught the attention of clubs in England, Saudi Arabia and now France, where Marseille have identified him as a priority target for their summer rebuild.
According to Ficherio, the Ligue 1 giants are prepared to offer €18m for the striker as they look to mount a serious title challenge next season.
Sevilla, however, are holding out for closer to €25m and are in no hurry to accept a reduced fee — though their position is complicated by La Liga’s strict financial regulations, which require the club to generate significant revenue from player sales before they can register new signings for the coming campaign. That financial pressure could ultimately force a compromise.
Adams’ previous stint in French football works in Marseille’s favour.
Having spent time at Montpellier, he would need minimal adjustment time to settle into Ligue 1, a factor that makes him a more attractive proposition than a player arriving from outside the league.
He also brings a profile that suits multiple systems — quick, technically sound, dangerous in the air and increasingly reliable in front of goal.
Whether a deal can be structured to satisfy both clubs remains the central question, but with England, Saudi Arabia and Marseille all in the picture, Sevilla appear unlikely to be short of options if they decide to sell.
