In a statement made available to The PUNCH on Wednesday, Giwa said the distribution, which took place on May 27 and 28, featured exercise books, school bags, sweets, biscuits, and fruit juice for the beneficiaries.
The statement said the beneficiaries, parents, and community members commended the gesture, describing it as a demonstration of Giwa’s commitment to education, youth development, and the welfare of the younger generation.

“The educational support programme formed part of Giwa’s wider efforts to promote human capital development and improve access to basic educational resources within communities across the senatorial district,” the statement said.
The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, who received Giwa in his palace, commended him for “his sustained contributions to education, youth empowerment, and community service,” describing his interventions as impactful and worthy of emulation.
