Osimhen strikes as Galatasaray close in on Turkish title with derby win

Victor Osimhen delivered when it mattered most, scoring the opening goal as Galatasaray cruised to a commanding 3-0 victory over fierce rivals Fenerbahce in a decisive Istanbul derby on Sunday.

The Nigerian striker, starting his first game in over a month, returned in style, leading the line with authority and composure. His goal, the first of the encounter, set the tone for a dominant performance that moved Galatasaray to the brink of the Turkish league title.

Osimhen’s strike came just before half-time, capping a period of growing pressure from the home side. Midfielder Mario Lemina threaded a precise pass into his path, and the forward showed sharp anticipation and strength to beat two defenders before calmly slotting past the goalkeeper.
