Lifemate Furniture has partnered with Lomo Coffee to introduce a café and restaurant at its Wuse 2 showroom in Abuja, as both companies seek to improve customer experience, promote locally produced coffee and create jobs.

Speaking at the event, Lifemate Furniture’s Brand Promotion Manager, Raphael Nwankagba, said the collaboration was designed to provide customers with a more convenient shopping experience by offering a place to relax while purchasing furniture.
“We partnered with Lomo Coffee. And, you know, when you shop, shopping doesn’t just have to do with just coming to shop furniture, but you need relaxation, unwinding, and, you know, get yourself relaxed.
“So we noticed that customers need such. So that was why we partnered with Lomo Coffee: to see and give them what they actually want, or what will feel befitting for them. You can see our customers; most of our customers are with their coffee shopping because you know what coffee does to the system.”
Nwankagba described the initiative as the first of its kind for the company and said it could be extended to other Lifemate branches across Nigeria. “So this is the first of its kind. And we started with Abuja, the capital city. And I believe that when time goes on, we probably might even extend to other branches in Nigeria.”
He added that the collaboration also came with promotional offers for customers. “Today we are giving out a very massive discount that we’ve not even done before, but it’s been a while since we gave out this kind of discount.
“So you can see how the collaboration will give you an insight into very massive things that you can do with it.”
The Administrative Floor Manager of Lomo Coffee, Kuzayet Bowson, said the partnership was expected to benefit both businesses while expanding access to coffee sourced and processed in Nigeria. “It’s a fusion restaurant situated in Jabi, Abuja, and now officially a partner with LifeMate, and we have a location here in Wuse 2, Abuja,” Bowson said.
He explained that Lomo Coffee is a Nigerian company with Asian influences established to provide a family-oriented dining experience. “Lomo Coffee is a Nigerian company, but with a lot of Asian influence.
Bowson said the partnership followed discussions initiated after a Chinese customer commended the company’s service and coffee quality and proposed establishing a café within the Lifemate showroom.
He added that the company planned to expand its operations while creating more employment opportunities for young Nigerians and promoting coffee grown, processed, and packaged entirely in Nigeria.
