The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening international defence partnerships following a high-level visit by participants of India’s National Defence College (NDC) to its headquarters in Abuja.

Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Sunday Kelvin Aneke, the Chief of Air Intelligence, N.N Ananaba, a Vice Marshal, on Wednesday, highlighted the importance of defence diplomacy and professional military exchanges in addressing evolving security challenges.
Led by Anvita Sinha, the visiting team was briefed on the structure, operational responsibilities, and strategic roles of the Nigerian Air Force, including its ongoing transformation initiatives and operational engagements across various theatres of operation.
The delegation was also exposed to the NAF’s contributions to national security, regional stability, and multinational security operations, providing participants with deeper insights into Nigeria’s complex security environment and the military’s response mechanisms.
Officials said the engagement reflects growing defence cooperation between Nigeria and India and serves as a platform for knowledge sharing, strategic dialogue, and collaboration on emerging global security issues.
The visit further showcased the Nigerian Air Force’s expanding role in international military cooperation and its efforts to position itself as a professional and globally engaged service committed to strengthening strategic relationships with partner nations.
