President Bola Tinubu has congratulated elder statesman and retired aviation supervisor at Shell Company Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Ashafa Erogbogbo, on his 100th birthday anniversary.

Tinubu, in a statement personally signed on Wednesday, described attaining the age of 100 as “a remarkable milestone, a rare blessing, and a reward for a life of discipline, dedication, integrity, and selfless service to humanity and the nation.”

The President joined Erogbogbo’s family in thanking God for what he described as his “century-long journey” and contributions to national development through his years of service at the Government Printing Press, Nigeria Customs and Excise, and Shell Company Nigeria Limited.
“In all the places where you worked, you demonstrated professionalism, diligence, and a commitment to excellence,” Tinubu said.
He also commended the celebrant’s role as a respected community leader in Ikorodu, Lagos State, noting that his “wisdom, counsel, and exemplary lifestyle continue to inspire younger generations.”
Tinubu further noted that Erogbogbo, who is the father of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, “remains sharp of mind and warm of spirit at this advanced age.”
The President rejoiced with the centenarian’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren on what he described as an “extraordinary milestone.”
Tinubu also expressed anticipation for the publication of Erogbogbo’s life story titled, “Echoes of Grace: The Journey of a Century,” released to mark his birthday.
“As you celebrate this milestone, I pray that Almighty Allah will continue to sustain you with good health, peace, strength, and happiness,” the President added.
