The gambling company International Game Technology (IGT) also confirmed the victorious slot machine player, identifying the winner as “Anthony”. He won the jackpot while playing Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Triple Red Hot 7s Slots on a $10 bet, the company said.
A photo shared by IGT showed a smiling middle-aged man posing beside the winning slot machine.
Gambling winnings of more than $5,000 are subject to an automatic 24% federal tax withholding, according to the Internal Revenue Service.
Nevada, however, does not tax lottery winnings or personal income.
Sunday’s win came after a traveler won a $1.8m jackpot on the Wheel of Fortune slot machine in the airport’s D Gates in May 2025. The airport did not identify the winner.
Similarly, in September, a traveler in the airport’s terminal one bet $1.25 on the Wheel of Fortune Triple Double Emeralds slot machine and in turn won a $348,507.71 jackpot, the Sacramento Bee reported.
