Shareholders Approve N41.25bn Dividend At Transcorp Power AGM

Transcorp Power shareholders have approved N41.25 billion dividend after strong revenue and profit growth in 2025.

Shareholders of Transcorp Power Plc have approved a total dividend of N41.25 billion for the 2025 financial year. The approval was given at the company’s Annual General Meeting in Abuja.

The payout includes an interim dividend of N11 billion paid earlier in the year and a final dividend of N30 billion.

The company reported growth in revenue, which rose to N398.27 billion from N305.94 billion the previous year.

Profit after tax also increased by over 14 per cent to N91.4 billion.

The chairman of the company said the performance was driven by expansion in generation capacity and operational efficiency.

He said the company added 100 megawatts to its output during the period. He also noted a reduction in loan obligations, which improved profitability.

Management said challenges in power transmission still affected operations. They added that efforts were ongoing to improve evacuation from generation plants.

Shareholders also praised the company’s performance and expressed confidence in its leadership but concerns were also raised about the protection of power infrastructure from vandalism.
