The downstream oil and gas company made the commitment during its 2026 Vendors’ Forum held in Lagos on Tuesday. The forum, themed “Partnering for Operational Excellence,” attracted more than 100 existing and prospective vendors, alongside key stakeholders who participated physically and virtually. The event was held under the sub-theme, “Strengthening Partnerships Through Compliance, Safety, Performance and Innovation.”
Speaking at the forum, Adenike Labinjo, managing director and chief executive officer of Pinnacle Oil & Gas Limited, described vendors as strategic partners whose commitment to quality, innovation, compliance and safety plays a critical role in the company’s ability to deliver value to customers and stakeholders.
Labinjo noted that as Pinnacle continues to expand its operations, it has become increasingly important for the company and its vendors to operate with a shared understanding of expectations, responsibilities and performance standards. She emphasised that safety, regulatory compliance and ethical business practices remain fundamental requirements for all vendor engagements.
According to her, building a resilient and efficient supply chain depends on strong partnerships founded on trust, accountability and continuous improvement.
The forum featured technical presentations by senior executives from the company’s Procurement, Engineering, Compliance, Finance, Legal, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), and Sales and Marketing departments. The sessions provided vendors with practical guidance on procurement procedures, vendor onboarding, prequalification requirements, Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance, tax invoicing, payment processes, contractual obligations, technical specifications, contractor responsibilities and supplier performance expectations.
A major highlight of the event was an interactive question-and-answer session, during which vendors engaged directly with Pinnacle’s management on procurement procedures, compliance obligations, project execution, HSE requirements and opportunities for continuous improvement. The engagement offered vendors greater insight into the company’s evolving operational requirements while reinforcing its commitment to transparency and open communication. As part of efforts to encourage excellence across its supply chain, Pinnacle recognised five vendors for their exceptional contributions to service delivery, innovation and partnership during the year.
The award recipients included Great Grace Enterprise for Outstanding Delivery Performance, Cevets Nigeria Limited for Excellence in Project Delivery, Ceezik Projekts for Outstanding Quality, Diadco Nigeria Limited for Outstanding Responsiveness, and Sephill Innovative Solutions Limited for Best Commercial Value.
Speaking on the significance of the forum, Oluseyi Ogunfowora, head of Procurement and Administration, said the initiative reflects Pinnacle’s commitment to building stronger vendor relationships through transparency, collaboration and shared accountability.
Ogunfowora encouraged vendors to submit complete and compliant documentation, communicate proactively and seek clarification whenever necessary, stressing that enduring business relationships are built on trust, effective communication and a shared commitment to operational excellence.
“The success of our business depends on the strength of our partnerships. When vendors clearly understand our expectations and we work together with transparency, compliance and open communication, we create a high-performing vendor ecosystem that benefits everyone,” she said.
