The former France international believes Osimhen possesses the quality, mentality and attacking presence needed to help Manchester United return to competing at the highest level.
Osimhen, who currently plays for Galatasaray S.K., recently helped the Turkish giants secure the Super Lig title and has continued to attract interest from several top European clubs following another impressive campaign.
The Nigerian striker has been linked with moves to Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea.
Speaking to Goal, Evra highlighted the importance of having multiple top-quality attacking options for clubs competing across several competitions.
According to the former United defender, the club needs greater firepower to consistently challenge for major honours again.
Evra added that if he had the opportunity to choose one player to improve Manchester United’s attack, Osimhen would be his preferred option.
“But if I have to name one player, I’ll say Osimhen because I know he can make the difference,” Evra said as reported on Goal.
“Man United need a proper striker, and I have so much respect for the strikers at Man United, sometimes Bryan Mbuemo. But, back in the day, we had four amazing strikers, and if you want to play every competition, you need more strikers.”
The comments further fuel speculation surrounding Osimhen’s future, with the Nigerian forward expected to be one of the most sought-after strikers in the summer transfer window.
