The Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has scored President Bola Tinubu’s administration 100 per cent in performance, declaring him the “founder of the new Nigeria” who successfully rescued the nation from the brink of collapse.

The endorsement was delivered during a high-profile Sallah visit by state governors, led by Vice President Kashim Shettima, to the President at his private residence in Lagos.

A video from the visit, shared by The Cable on Saturday, showed Uzodimma addressing the President, praising Tinubu’s “innovative approach” to governance, and stating that the reforms implemented over the last three years have laid the foundation for national stability.
“You have virtually recovered Nigeria from the road of collapse to that of stability and survival. We, your field officers at the subnational level, are indeed very very grateful.
“We have assessed your performance, and Mr President, I’m happy to announce that we have scored your performance 100%,” Uzodimma declared.
“We thank you for the genius you are, the fatherly role you have played, your interventions in times of our needs, and your vision for the country moving forward,” he added.
Pledging the loyalty of the governors, he added that they are prepared to defend the federal government’s economic agenda across the states, saying, “We want to inform you Mr. President that we are proud to be your ambassadors at the subnational level and we are here to defend your policies, to preach your message, and to let Nigerians know that we have come out from darkness and then the right light is now ready to shine. You brought us hope, and we believe in you.”
PUNCH reported on Friday that Defence Minister Christopher Musa gave the Tinubu administration a score of 65 to 70 per cent for its security performance.
He stated that terrorism had been drastically reduced to isolated kidnapping incidents, even as a wave of school abductions across several states continues to be a big challenge for the nation.
