The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State has said that Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s performance in his first term provides a foundation for improved delivery in a second term.

Dipe, in a statement in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, titled “Governance: What Governor Oyebanji Has Done to Date,” said the governor had moved Ekiti from “government by announcement” to “government by open books.”
The APC spokesperson said, “Oyebanji’s first term is a record of systems, not slogans. When Oyebanji assumed office in October 2022, he pitched his mandate as ‘Continuity for Shared Prosperity’. Three years going into four, that continuity shows up less in rhetoric and more in systems.”
Dipe listed accountability as one of the key achievements of the administration, which he said would support the governor’s re-election bid in the June 20 poll.
He said: “Under Oyebanji, accountability has been institutionalised. Through budget town halls, merit-based recruitment, TSA enforcement and audit independence, Ekiti has shifted from politics-as-usual to rules-based, data-driven governance.”
According to him, the indices of accountability under the administration include fiscal transparency, institutional reform, civil service and local government reforms, judiciary and oversight independence, and citizen participation through budget engagement.
Dipe added: “Ekiti leads on fiscal transparency, has codified revenue and environmental laws, cleared pension arrears, tracks projects online and budgets with citizens in the room. The ‘Shared Prosperity’ agenda runs on accountability rails.
“The Progress Mandate calls it a ‘quiet revolution rooted in substance over sensation.’ With institutions rebuilt, the verdict rests with voters on June 20, 2026.”
